ISLAMABAD: The Federal Government promulgated four presidential ordinances on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) demand, ARY News reported. The National Highway Authority (Amendment) Ordinance 2023, Pakistan Postal Services Management Board (Amendment) Ordinance 2023, Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (Amendment) Ordinance 2023, and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (Amendment) Ordinance 2023 have been promulgated. The secretaries of all the ministries concerned briefed the President on the urgency of the ordinances as the matter was agreed upon with the International Monetary Fund in July this year regarding the four state-owned enterprises (SOEs), according to a Press Information Department news release. KARACHI: Inspector General (IG) Sindh Riffat Mukhtar took important decisions on Sunday to curb street crimes and improve the overall law and order situation, ARY News reported. IG Sindh chaired an online conference via the Police Station Record Management System’s dashboard to review the overall law and order situation of the province. Important decisions were taken to improve the law and order situation including street and other crimes. All senior superintendent police (SSPs) have been instructed to ensure entries of crime reports on the Record Management System. The Sindh police chief will inspect the data on a weekly basis and issue instructions. Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi and Deputy Inspector General (DIGs) briefed the IG Sindh on the law and order situation. RAWALPINDI: A wanted terrorist ring leader, Ibrahim alias Musa was killed among four other terrorists on Saturday during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by the security forces on the reported presence of terrorists in the general area, Khaisoor of North Waziristan District, ARY News reported. KARACHI: The murder mystery of biomechanical engineer Sohaib Nisar has been solved by Karachi police, ARY News reported.  Sohaib Nisar, the only son of his parents was shot dead in Sachal Scheme 33 area of Karachi. Initially, the case was reported as a street crime but the investigation revealed shocking details regarding his murder. According to SHO Sachal Aurangzeb Khattak, Sohaib was shot in the head by his childhood friend Asim over a money dispute in Sir Syed Chowk, Scheme 33. Despite severe criticism, the police continued their investigation and found out the prime suspect in the murder case. The main suspect Asim who was a friend of the deceased Sohaib for over 40 years, used to reside in Somar Goth.
