LAHORE: The group of lawmakers led by former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Khan Tareen held a ‘consultative meeting’ on Monday to discuss ‘future course of action’ amid country’s political situation, ARY News reported.

According to details, a high-level consultative meeting was held in Lahore, headed by Jahangir Tareen, that discussed the current political situation of the country.

The meeting was attended by Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Raja Riaz, Aoun Chaudhry, Nauman Langriyal, Ishaq Khakwani, Ajmal Cheema, former members of the Punjab Assembly and current members of the National Assembly.

During the meeting, the participants decided to play an active role in the country’s politics again. Some members suggested creating a political identity in the name of ‘Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Nazariati’.

The Tareen group also decided to contact more former members of the National Assembly and leaders of the PTI. The participants of meeting were of the view that PTI chief Imran Khan’s policies had destroyed the party.

Due to Imran Khan’s policies, a large number of party leaders expressed their intention to dissociate from Khan’s politics. The group has decided to hold more meetings while keeping an eye on the domestic politics.
